Fruit production in a 2018-19 crop year is expected from 117 lakh tonnes to 99.92 lakh tonnes in 2017-18. Production of vegetables can fall to 7 lakh tonnes (116 lakh tonnes) in 2018-19, compared to 123 lakh tons of crop last year.
