Lok Sabha Elections 2019: In first phase , 10 Big things related to voting

For the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, on Thursday election began with voting on 91 seats in 20 states. Most political parties claimed that their party would benefit from heavy voting. Polling was usually peaceful except for some incidents.

Election Commission says that the percentage of voting is equal to the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Initially, the voting percentage is declining as compared to 2014, because the commission has been able to give data to many states till 5 o’clock.

According to data from five o’clock in the evening, the lowest turnout was 50 per cent in Bihar and 81 per cent in West Bengal. Uttar Pradesh Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha said in a conference that the level of voting was normal in the first phase. Sinha said that till the final figures come up, this level will be almost equivalent to the previous election.

2.57.85 per cent voting was registered in five seats in Uttarakhand. There was 62.15 per cent voting in the state in 2014. In Arunachal Pradesh, polling was 66 per cent for two seats. In 2014 the level of voting in the state was 80 per cent.

3. Meghalaya’s seats were 67.1 per cent till 6 pm, and last time 68 per cent voting took place. In the other major voting states of the first phase, in eight seats in Uttar Pradesh, 63.69 per cent of the voters used their franchise till five o’clock in the evening.

4. At least three people were seriously injured in a clash between supporters of two rival parties during voting in the assembly constituency of Kurung Kuma district of Arunachal Pradesh.

5.SSB fired air to prevent fake voting at the polling booth of Kandla Rasulpur village of Kairana Lok Sabha seat. According to the officials, some youths tried to enter the line of voters forcibly attempting to forcibly vote.

9. During the voting for 91 Lok Sabha seats spread across 18 states and two union territories, 15 incidents of EVM damaged were reported. In which six incidents are from Andhra Pradesh alone.

10.A total of 71.43 per cent of the total 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh, 66 in Arunachal Pradesh, 68 in Assam, 56 in Chhattisgarh, 56 in Maharashtra and 81.30 per cent in Tripura.
