A 35-year-old Pakistani-American national has been arrested by the FBI on his entry from Pakistan for being in contact with two UN-proscribed dread gatherings the Islamic State and the JeM. Waqar Ul-Hassan, a naturalized US resident who moved to America at 15 years old, was arrested at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina on Tuesday. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) boss Masood Azhar was assigned as a worldwide terrorist by the UN on May 1.
Hassan was arrested on two counts of owning false expressions in 2015 about his contacts with terrorist gatherings. Whenever sentenced, he faces as long as eight years of detainment. As indicated by court reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2014 got data that he was in contact with terrorist organizations. Amid a meeting with the FBI, he denied having any contacts with the terrorist gatherings or helping them.
Later in November 2015, Hassan amid another meeting with the FBI conceded that he had lied and was in contact with two terrorist gatherings – the Islamic State (otherwise called ISIS) and JeM.
